NOTICE:
I am starting to work with updating this board.  Not sure how long it will take me.
IF YOU SEE "BOARD NOT AVAILABLE"  at times, this will be due to the update.
Also moving files around on my server.

I will try not to keep it disabled long.

The new update should be better, and will be responsive. which means,  it can be viewed by most devices.

Hey Gary, I just picked up an 84 XR 200, a nice little bike to keep at the summer house. I realize these are not the greatest bikes around but for 250 bucks I couldnt say no.........it runs but smokes like a B*tch...most likely needs top end work, is a leak down test the best way to start or just tear it down and send it along to you guys for inspection......what's the best manual for this bike and do you have one.......Thanks for your help

Paul

It never hurts to do a leakdown, but you are probably gonna end up tearing it down anyway. The XRs were a pretty decent bike for what they were. M318 Clymer manual ( $29.95) should be very helpful.

Thanks Gary I'll give a call and order the manual. This will be my first experience with anything other than British (I've done a 650 and 750 Bonnie and a 441 BSA) Let me know if you have any used parts for this engine, Left side cover is bashed and leaking....If not I'll do the ebay thing and see what I can come up with......Thanks for your help I'll get the manual do the tear down and send the head, jug etc. down for your evaluation.........

If you want to do it the easy way, bring it in and we will set it up on the dyno for you. That will save you a lot of trial and error and will insure it is correct.
